Family Action Network Movement (FANM) congratulates its Executive Director, Marleine Bastien, on being named the 2021 winner of the African American Achiever for Community Service. Marleine was the 2020 African American Achiever for Community Service Honoree. Other honorees include: Traci Young-Byron for Arts and Culture, Ken Roland for Business and Entrepreneurism, Danni Washington for Education and Paige Harris the Jerome Edmund Gray Youth Achiever.
Marleine Bastien, Executive Director of Family Action Network Movement (FANM), stated, "I’m so humbled by the Jim Moran Family Enterprises' decision to include me for a second time in this esteemed group of community leaders and honorees." Marleine is also donating the second $10,000 award to FANM, which will go towards its wrap around services, organizing the community and amplifying the voices of Florida residents on climate change, gentrification, affordable housing, comprehensive immigration reform, social justice and equity for all.
Since 1992, Jim Moran Family has celebrated members of the community who made a difference in the lives of others. A meaningful difference driven by passion and a greater purpose. Over 160 individual Achievers have been recognized, and more than $600,000 has been donated on their behalf to nonprofit organizations in celebration of their achievements.
