Miami, FL – In response to Florida’s latest anti-immigrant law, SB 168, Community Justice Project, Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Immigration Clinic of the University of Miami School of Law have filed a lawsuit today to stop the implementation of SB 168, which went into effect on July 1st. SB 168 will devastate immigrant families across our state by stripping local cities and counties of their power to protect immigrant communities, forcing local police to act as ICE agents, and expanding the reach of Trump’s deportation machine. We’re proud to fight alongside our incredible partners in this lawsuit:
