 Family Intervention and Empowerment focuses on providing case management, mental health counseling, breast cancer prevention and treatment, social service referrals for benefits and other economic assistance, parenting and anger management classes, early childhood development tools and techniques, facilitating discussions on crime and capacity building with families, advocacy with the courts, schools, and DCF, and linkages and access to healthcare. In the Winter of 2003, with the assistance of Miami-Dade Public Schools Adult Education Department, we added an educational component that focuses on adult and family literacy, parental involvement in schooling, tutoring, civic education, ESOL, computer exploration and access, and
Home adoption reviews will be provided on a sliding scale fee.
We also will be providing home adoption reviews on a sliding fee scale based on household income.
